For Under the Pier, I crafted a visual language through costume that balances unsettling eeriness with an unexpected vibrancy. Horror often leans into dark, muted tones, but I wanted to challenge that by integrating bright hues that stand out against the eerie decayed setting of the pier. The use of saturated tones plays with the audience’s expectations, luring them into a false sense of ease before the film descends into its chilling moments.
